This has been one of my all time favorite stories by Vickie McDonough. I loved the characters and how they interacted. I hope the second book in the series is as well written. I received a free copy from the author for a fair and honest opinion.

The Devils eyes: In the Presidents Service: volume 5
It was a little too long between episodes this time and I forgot what had happened. Try to get them a little closer together or just make them one book. The story is still very good and I look forward to the next installment. Each part does get more enjoyable and I need to know how it will end. I received a free ecopy from bookfun.org for a fair and honest opinion.
Twice a Slave by Sammy Tippit
This was an interesting story. It could be hard to read at times because of the subject matter. It was hard to see how he got treated by his own family because his mother was an Indian slave. I don’t know if I could have been as brave as he seemed to be most of his life. It was a very good story. I received a free copy of this book from bookfun.org for a fair and honest opinion.
Maid for Murder: Deadly Business by Suzette Williams
I am really enjoying this series. It doesn’t take itself seriously. Who could ever get into so many scrapes with the olive. I look forward to the next installment.
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
This started out a little confusing for me as to who was talking and then I got used to the timing. Once I was used to the timing I got it figured out and really began to enjoy the story. This reminded me a little bit of Gone Girl and rear window. Except this was someone observing from a train. I received the ebook from FirsttoRead for a fair and honest opinion. I look forward to reading more by Paula Hawkins.
The Kraken Project by Douglas Preston
I wasn’t sure I was going to like this story at first . Sometimes some books based on computers can get confusing and hard to understan but this one did not. I had a very hard time putting this down. I had to get to the end and I was not disappointed. I look forward to many more Douglas Preston books.
Captured by Love by Jody Hedlund
Wonderful as always. I had a hard time putting it down. One of first books in a long time that takes place in Michigan and during the war of 1812. Would be great to have more books based during this time. I look forward to more of Judy’s books. I received this book through bookfun.org for a fair and honest opinion.
Rain on the Dead by Jack Higgins
This was action packed and it had all of my favorite characters. it seemed to read a little slowly at times and then was alittle confusing for me. It was best near the end and I still recommend. always look forward to reading this series.
Duty Before Love by Sarah Jae Foster
This was a wonderful historical western romance. The best part was I was not sure how it would turn out in the end. I really enjoyed every character and wanted all of them to get what they wanted. I received a free ebook copy from the author for a fair and honest opinion.
Annie’s stories by Cindy Thomson
This was another great book by Cindy Thomson. Loved it. The characters were great, even the ones you were not sure if you we’re going to like. I thought this was going to be about the Wizard of Oz at first and was glad when that was just a small side story.the real story was much better. Can’t wait for the next book. I received a free copy from Bookfun.org for a fair and honest opinion.
