This was a good book but not my favorite of hers. I did like how she showed King Henry as being a bit of a spoiled brat. Being real people it was a little hard to really like any of the characters. They had to be hard people but it is hard to read about.
Can a girl be a southerner and end up falling in love with a union soldier? It can happen but can it turn out ok. This was a nice romance with a little bit of a mystery. I look forward to reading more by Karen. I received this from bookfun.org for a fair and honest opinion.

This was a good young adult book. It had a good story. I really like Micah and Zach. It was hard to like Zach’s parents. They seemed to be more like what you always imagine Amish parents to be like. This was a good Christmas story. I am a big cat lover so had a hard time at first liking Garrison. I have it hard when someone doesn’t fall in love with most cats right away.
