I felt that this was the best book in this series. I did have some trouble liking Alyssa during much of the story but I think it was because she is 14 and sometimes a brat. The bad people doing magic were interesting. I enjoyed the magic in this book of the series. I think that children between 10 and 14 will enjoy reading this series. I received a copy of this book from ireadbooktours for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
I give this book a five out of five stars.
