I enjoyed this first children’s book in a new series but I thought the writing was a little choppy at times. I want to know what is going to happen to Alyssa and her friends. I felt sorry for how Alyssa and her cousin were treated after Alyssas parents died. The magic was interesting and there were lots of twists and turns. I received a copy of this book from the ireadbooktours fir a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
I give this book a four out of five stars.
